Return from Inactivity

Greetings, one and all. Gidget and I have had many adventures since we last logged on. We actually got inspired by our friends blog and realized that we really slacked off last year. We went to California and did not find it pleasing, so we moved yet again.

We are now living in Spring Creek, NV. It is a beautiful valley nestled below the incredible Ruby Mountains. We are just outside of Elko on I-80. If you head to the hospital and keep going over Lamiolle Summit, you will roll right down into Spring Creek.

I am a counselor at the middle school and it is working out pretty well. We are renting a 3 bedroom trailer, so we have space if you are up for a quick getaway. Be advised that right now it is very cold in Spring Creek, dropping in the single digits or below zero nightly. This means that if you are looking for a warm getaway, you had better travel elsewhere.

Gidget has a fenced yard for the first time in her life and she loves it. She still loves to run around outside the fenced yard when we first come home, but when I let her out in the morning I don't have to worry about her going very far. There are two Labs that share a fence on the side of our house with her. She is fine until I start talking to them, or give them treats. Then Gidget really tells them off. There is also a kitty that lives under our place. It drives Gidget nuts and every now and again you will see her shoot off like a rocket after I open the door. For some reason she can smell the kitty in the electric heat vents in our house. Sometimes she goes from room to room barking at the vents. It is pretty hilarious.

Well, enough for now. I will try to do better at keeping this updated, but we are not actually living in a very lively place right now =)
